Sergey Kozlov wrote many wonderfully touching, profound, sad and cheerful fairy tales: I Am Lying in the Sun, Tryam! Hello!, The Lion Cub and the Turtle. Hedgehog in the Fog, an animated film based on his play, became one of the five best animated films in the world.
Sergey Kozlov's play The Hedgehog and the Fir Tree is the basis for our theatre's forthcoming New Year premiere, Fir Tree, Fir Tree, Fir Tree! New Year is a wonderful reason to meet friends and arrange a celebration for all the inhabitants of the snow-covered forest. At New Year, friends and loved ones must surely be together. Can there be a New Year without a fir tree? Of course not. The main characters — Hedgehog, Squirrel and Little Bear — are concerned with finding the little fir tree. Without expecting praise or rewards, they perform wonderful deeds to bring joy to one another.
