The exhibition “Ultramarine within the Bounds of the Permissible” has opened at the Volgograd Children’s Gallery.
The exhibition presents works by the remarkable Volgograd artist Elena Orlova.
For five years she has headed the Volgograd Museum of Fine Arts, but she decided to place the exhibition in the Children’s Art Gallery — the very gallery she herself founded 25 years ago, directed for a long time, and to which her heart belongs.
An unbelievable number of guests gathered for the opening. It seems that even the heroine of the evening herself had not expected such an influx of people eager to meet the artist and her work. Who was not there! Earlier, such a gathering would have been called representatives of the creative intelligentsia. Today — the cultural elite. Or, more simply, well-known and less well-known, but certainly talented people gathered together, and they felt very good in one another’s company.
There was music — the ensemble of the dazzling Olga Nasyrova literally electrified the already heated atmosphere of the evening. There were beautiful poems written by Elena Orlova herself. For some reason they were a little sad, which did not quite match the image of this sunny woman.
In short, it was simply wonderful. And the paintings?.. Well, can painting really be retold? Everyone has their own. And it is good when your heart beats in unison with the heart of the artist. Come and test yourself. The exhibition will be open for another whole month.
Only a month. But even for that, thanks to the brilliant Elena Orlova.
