MOSCOW, July 16 — RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree “On Awarding State Decorations of the Russian Federation” for achievements in the field of culture and art and for many years of fruitful activity, the press service of the President of the Russian Federation reported on Monday.

According to the presidential decree, the Order of Honor was awarded to Vera Alentova, actress of the Moscow Drama Theatre named after A. S. Pushkin, and Kirill Sokolov, Head of the Department of Woodwind Instruments at the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory.

The Medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland,” II degree, is awarded to Alexander Afanasyev, teacher at the Novoorlovskaya School of Arts in Aginsky District of the Agin-Buryat Autonomous Okrug; Tatyana Goncharova, Director of Children’s Art School No. 2 in Astrakhan; Tsyregma Naznatova, methodologist of the culture department of the Mogoytuy District administration of the Agin-Buryat Autonomous Okrug; Elena Orlova, Director of the Regional Children’s Art Gallery of Volgograd Region; Boris Osykov, writer from Belgorod; and Alexander Sholokhov, Director of the M. A. Sholokhov State Museum-Reserve in Rostov Region.

The Pushkin Medal was awarded to Elena Koshutina, Head of Department at the Ustyansky Intersettlement Central District Library in Arkhangelsk Region, and Irina Krivopolenova, teacher at Children’s Art School No. 1 in Arkhangelsk.

For achievements in the field of art, the title “People’s Artist of the Russian Federation” was awarded to St. Petersburg film actor Yevgeny Leonov, Moscow theatre and film actress Albina Matveyeva, and Dmitry Yachevsky, actor of the Moscow drama theatre “Sphere.”

The title “Honored Artist of the Russian Federation” was awarded to Sergey Aleshchenkov, soloist of the Ural State Academic Russian Folk Choir “Concert Association ‘Ural Choir’” in Sverdlovsk Region; Natalya Goryacheva, actress of the Krasnoyarsk State Musical Comedy Theatre; Yekaterina Dvorman, actress of the Yekaterinburg Municipal Theatre for Young Audiences; Yuri Kravchuk, actor of the Ural State Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the regional state cultural institution “Concert Association ‘Ural Choir’”; Lidia Ledyaykina, actress of the St. Petersburg Academic Theatre named after Lensovet; Igor Maslov, ballet artist of the dance ensemble “Cossacks of Russia” in Lipetsk Region; Elena Podrez, actress of the L. N. Tolstoy Lipetsk State Academic Drama Theatre; and Lyubov Polyakova, solo vocalist of the N. M. Zagursky Irkutsk Regional Musical Theatre.

For achievements in the field of fine arts, the honorary titles “Honored Artist of the Russian Federation,” “Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation,” and “Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation” were also awarded.
